As of 8:42 this morning, I was a FREEEEEEEEEE mommy! Well, free for just under 3 hours. But still, I could do whatever I wanted without anyone interupting, pulling on me or needing anything. So what was the first thing I did??? I mopped the floor. Sounds crazy right? I mean I could have gone for a mani/pedi or run some errands or even just kicked back on Facebook and wasted an hour. But nope... I mopped the floor. There is something so satisfying about being able to mop the floor without having to worry about little feet not listening and running on wet concrete and BOOM... pain and tears (for the kids too)! Oh and yes, you did read right... we have concrete floors...
So the floors are clean... for at least another couple of hours maybe... The rest of the house, that's another story. But there is toilet cleaner in all 3 toilet bowls... And my bathroom counter is sparking shiny... Dishes are washed in the kitchen - except for the pan still sitting on the stove that DH said he would wash yesterday... If it's not done today - I guess I'll have to do it tomorrow.
But for now, at least I can check "mop the floor" off my list! Oh... and hope the kids don't spill anything sticky on it for at least the next 24 hours...
